Summary
Our estimators are professionals responsible for the preparation of material estimates using construction drawings and specifications.  They are advisors to our customers in the commercial construction industry ensuring that our customers receive a timely and precise material estimate allowing them to bid competitively to win business.  As an advisor, this role requires professional communication with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting an initial analysis of construction drawings and specifications to ensure all relevant information has been provided
• Producing a precise material estimate for each material bid by our customer and summarizing other key information needed to complete the bidding process
• Review and understand specifications and drawings to advise clients on project details
• Monitor addenda updates and advise customers of changes impacting their bid
• Manage multiple priorities and deliver projects timely
• Build strong, effective relationships with our customers and team
• Actively participate in industry and community events

Minimum Qualifications:

• A degree in architectural drafting and estimating, construction estimating, construction management, or similar post-secondary education in a related field
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Knowledge of drawing & technical specifications as well as contractual terms & conditions
• Employment is contingent upon passing a drug test
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Desired Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience with estimating software
• Experience with flooring takeoffs
• Experience with ceramic tile takeoffs
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Associate Estimating Professional (AEP)
